MARC Train will operate the MARC Bike Car on select trains on Friday, September 22 in support of World Car Free Day. The Bike Cars will operate on the following trains:
Penn Line: 511 (5:40am departure from Perryville / 6:25am departure from Penn Station), 413 (6:45am departure from Penn Station), 612 (8:20am departure from Washington), 641 (4:18pm departure from Penn Station), 634 (4:45pm departure from Washington) and 642 (5:46pm departure from Washington)
Brunswick Line: 892 (6:05am departure from Frederick) and 893 (5:20pmdeparture from Union Station). Please note that Bike Car service is not available at Barnesville, Boyds, or Garrett Park.
The MARC Bike Car allows you to bring a full-size, non-collapsing bicycle on board a train. There are 21 bike spaces per train and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. All MARC Penn Line weekend trains feature a Bike Car. Please note that MARC's weekday bike policy, which allows only collapsable/folding bicycles, will be in effect on all other trains on September 22.
