          <p><span><strong><u>TTL EVENTS </u></strong></span></p>
          <p><span><strong>Wednesday, October 9 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Brown Bag: How to Apply for Research Funds.</strong></span><span>Come to the graduate lounge for a lunchtime mini session on applying for research funds for your thesis or portfolio projects. </span></p>
          <p><span><strong>Wednesday, October 16 from 12:00-12:30 p.m.: Dresher Center Research Fellowships Info Session. </strong></span><span>Courtney Hobson, program manager at the Dresher Center for the Humanities, will lead an info session on funding opportunities for graduate students available through the center. Location TBA. </span></p>

          <li><p><span>Two weeks before project defense: </span><a href="https://umbc.edu/go/663" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>Certification of Readiness to Defend the Master’s Thesis form</span></a><span>. </span></p></li>
          <li><p><span>December 1, 2024: The signed </span><a href="https://docusign.umbc.edu/secure/prd/FormToDocuSign/Form2DS.php?cfg=GS_ThesisApprovalSheet" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>approval sheet</span></a><span> and electronic thesis must be submitted to </span><a href="https://www.etdadmin.com/main/home?siteId=75" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>UMI/ProQuest</span></a><span> by the dates per semester listed below. The original signed approval sheet must also be submitted to the Graduate School.</span></p></li>
          <li><p><span>December 20, 2024: This is the last day to submit the </span><a href="https://gradschool.umbc.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/155/2020/03/MA_requirements_certification_form.pdf" rel="nofollow external" class="bo"><span>Certification of Completion of Master’s Degree Requirements form</span></a><span>.</span></p></li>
