Dynamic non-for-profit association celebrating the 70th anniversary of its founding this year is seeking a smart, energetic and responsible college intern to contribute and gain valuable experience within our organization. In addition to contributing, the ideal candidate will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. You will focus on learning how our organization runs and can be expected to gain valuable insight that can further their interest in your chosen career field. In addition to office duties, the intern will have the opportunity to meet and work with colleagues within the Association, as well as industry leaders within long-term and post-acute care.
Intern Duties and Responsibilities:
· Answer phone inquiries, direct calls, and provide basic company information
· Perform clerical duties, take memos, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed
· Conduct Social Media, email and direct mail issue campaigns
· Conduct research and produce documents, reports and PowerPoint presentations.
· Sort and manage files
· Take notes and memos during meetings
· Manage databases and input information, data, and records
· Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks
Intern Requirements and Qualifications
· Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program, and ideally a sophomore or a junior.
· Be able to contribute 10 to 20 hours a week.
· Majoring in MAGS, Political Science, Government, Public Policy or Communications, or marketing.
· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel); as well as on the MAC platform.
· Must be 18 years of age and posses a valid Maryland Drivers License.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Self-directed and able to work without supervision
· Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
