Coming up this week, we have a relaxed couple of meetings with nothing in particular planned, so come on down to play some board games or ttrpg's and blow of some steam before finals!
Also, we are going to open up elections for officer positions at the end of our Tuesday club meeting so if you are interested in running our fantastic club, please fill out the form here:

Next Week --> We are hosting two events. On the smaller end, in lieu of Earth Day, we are hosting, for the first time, our Touch Grass event. We will be theming the day around board games involving a nature-theme and we will have special "Touch Grass" stickers available to those who participate in the event! This event will take place in our usual club room ILSB 118 from 7-10 PM.
Also next week, we will be hosting our Third Dungeons and Dragons Player v. Player Tournament!! Please check out ttrpg-announcements in our Discord server for the specific prizes, but this time around, we will have 4 top place sets, and participatory prizes for others who participate in the tournament, including dice and Japanese snacks. This event will take place on the 24th in Math and Psychology 104 from 7-10 pm. One more note for this event, if you would like to help run the event as a judge for the matches, please DM me ASAP!

Paint Night, Elections and Tournaments!!
Welcome to Week 8 of Tabletop Gaming Club!!
This week we have our semester-ly Paint Night event!! With this being the third installment of the event, we have decided to ramp things up. We have more minis, more dice, and more paint, and we are very excited to see what you guys decide to make!! To account for space and our amazing past attendance at this event, this time around we will be hosting this in the Commons Sports Zone!! So come on down and paint some minis!
AND coming up soon after Paint Night, on April 24th in Math and Psychology 104, we will be hosting the third installment of the Dungeons and Dragons PVP Tournament!! Since these two events are so close in proximity, I personally, want to encourage people to paint minis representing their player character for the tournament! Obviously, this is not a requirement, just a fun idea. ALSO, an additional prize has been discussed for the tournament: the winner will get to have a free custom mini made by our very own Innovation Lab, for their character, or player character of choice!!

There will be two vacant positions in the board following this semester, including: Vice President, and Tabletop RPG Ambassador, although there will still be elections for each position, starting on April 15th and ending on April 30th, with results announced in club on May 1st. As we reach the end of March Madness, we wish to give you some insight into our upcoming events in April. However, on the first day of club this week, we will be distributing prizes for those of you who won games throughout the duration of the March Madness event. Prizes will be available on Tuesday the first of April.
On April 8th, or next Tuesday we will be hosting another installment of our Paint Night in the Commons Sports Zone from 7-10 pm. Everyone who shows up will have the opportunity to paint minis or dice, with materials generously provided to us by the school. This has historically been quite a large event and we are stepping it up even more with more minis!
On April 22nd, we will be hosting our Touch Grass event in celebration of Earth Day in our usual club room at the usual hours. If you would like to come and play games that feature and out-doors-y theme, feel free to stop by!
On April 24th, get ready for the Third Dungeons and Dragons PvP Tournament!! I am extremely excited to announce that we are back with a third installment of this event, and we have some amazing prizes which will be announced soon on Discord for the top three contenders. Please check out our channel for TTRPG Announcments in the coming days to see the newly updated official rules for the event. Who will take the throne this time? Find out April 24th!! This event will take place in Our Regular Club Room ILSB 118 from 7-10 pm.

March Madness, ANCS Collab, and Midterm Season
Welcome to Week 5 of Tabletop Gaming Club!!
This week we are hosting our fourth collab event with the Ancient Studies Club!! It will be an Ancient-Egypt themed one shot with a focus on the historical setting and trials of the afterlife. This event will be held on Friday March 14th from 12-5 pm in SOND 105. Please DM me through our club's discord if you are interested in playing, as we only have 18 open slots for players at this event split between 3 DMs including myself and two fantastic DMs from club. I hope to see you guys there!
We also have our usual club meetings from 7-10 pm in ILSB 118 on Tuesday and Thursday. This will be Week 2 of our March Madness event. Be sure to come on down and get some points for your team, since at the end of March, the team with the highest points gets first dibs at our table of prizes for the event!
Especially in the midst of midterms and projects due before Spring Break, we hope everyone is taking care of their mental health and giving their brains a chance to rest. And what better way to calm the nerves than a casual game or two?

Week 4 of Tabletop Gaming Club
It's midterms season, take a break, come play games!
Welcome to Week 4 of Tabletop Gaming Club!
We are very excited to see you at club this week! Especially if you are looking to shake off some of the stress of midterms. In this time of study and agony, why not take a break and play a game or two?
This week we have the final installment in our Make-your-own-Board-Game event. It will take place on Friday March 7th in ILSB 116A from 6-8 pm. At this event, we will be playtesting the games that have been prototyped last week. And the best games from this Friday will have the opportunity to be professionally manufactured by Commonvision!! We look forward to seeing you there.
Lastly, this week in TTRPGs, be on the lookout for one-shots! Coming up soon, but not quite yet, I have been coerced into running a 12-person one shot, and this will probably take place on an upcoming Tuesday in club... If you are interested, please say so in the TTRPG-general channel.
We also have March Madness starting this week! For the month of March, players will have the opportunity to form teams and play games chosen from week-to-week against other teams for points. The team with the highest points at the end of the month gets first pick at a table of prizes!

Week 3 of Tabletop Gaming Club
It's getting warmer, come play games!!
Once again, we are hosting our two weekly meetings on Tuesday and Thursday from 7-10 pm in ILSB 118. We are also hosting the second installment of the "Make your own Board Game" event, which will take place Friday the 28th in Fine Arts 215 from 6-8:00 pm.
This week we will be making the board games! We are providing snacks as well as a variety of components to make board games in your own vision. If you have a burning idea to put to print, come to ILSB 116A on Friday the 28th at 6:00 pm. We are excited to see you there!

Week 2 of Tabletop Gaming Club

Welcome to Week 2 of the Tabletop Gaming Club for Spring 2025!
This week, we are planning on holding our two general meetings, on Tuesday and Thursday from 7-10:00 pm in ILSB 118, and in addition to our regular gatherings, we are beginning our collaboration event with the Game Development Club to make our own board games! This event will take place Friday the 21st in Fine Arts 215 from 6-8:00 pm.
If you are interested in making your own board games or card games, and want to have a shot at getting a professionally produced copy, please join us in this three-week event! In this week's installment of the event, we will be discussing how to go about making a new game from scratch, and in the upcoming sessions, interested parties will have the opportunity to develop their own games, and playtest others' games on the final day of the event!
Please also be on the lookout for D&D One-Shots being run by other members of the club. If you have an interest in D&D or other Tabletop Role-Playing Games, please also come down to our general meeting on Tuesday the 18th to find other players or DMs interested in running campaigns for this semester.

No General Body Meeting on Tuesday this week
Welcome to Week 1 of Tabletop Gaming Club for the Spring 2025 Semester!
First and foremost, I would like to thank all of you for electing me to the role of interim Vice President, it is an honor to have the privilege of serving the club in Matt's stead, and I promise I will do my absolute best to fulfill this role.
Unfortunately, our first official meeting must be postponed due to inclement weather. We really do not want any UMBC students, let alone our own club members, getting hurt or otherwise out in the ice and snow. Please do not try to come to the club room today, it will not be open, and no officers will be present.
However, because we do not want to completely lose out on a day of club, I will be hosting a virtual game night through the club discord server. Starting around 7:00 pm, I will open a few new Voice Channels and Text Channels temporarily for a virtual club meeting. You can feel free to join various VCs to play games supported by discord or join in on Jackbox games hosted by yours truly.

Welcome Spring 2025 Semester
Happy Spring Semester Everyone!
We hope you all had a wonderful winter break and wonderful
first day back! There will be no meetings this week so you can focus on
settling into your classes. Official meetings will begin on February 11th, which
means there will be no meetings this week, but stay tuned for details about an
unofficial meeting before then.
I also have a significant announcement to share. I, Matthew Green, will be
stepping down as Vice President of the UMBC Tabletop Gaming Club as I am no
longer a student, having completed my studies. The leadership team is currently
discussing who will take on the Vice President role for the remainder of the
term, and we will share updates soon.
It has been an incredible experience serving as the club’s
Vice President for the past year and a half. I look forward to visiting as an
alumnus and watching the club continue to thrive. I wish you all a fantastic
semester and plenty of fun at the club!

General Body Meetings
Welcome to the first week of Tabletop Gaming Club!
This semester we will be meeting in ILSB in room 233. Meeting will be every Tuesday and Thursday at 7-10pm unless otherwise noted. A map of the campus and where the ILSB location is included below this message.
If you are interested in joining a D&D or another TTRPG campaign, the first week is the best week to come as that is generally when most campaigns will start, or groups are formed.
For those interested in board games, club members and officers will be bringing a variety of different games that you are able to play. If there is a specific board game that you want brought, please let an officer know. Another reminder is that if you do want to play a game that is brought, please ask an officer or the owner of the game that you are going to be playing it out of courtesy
This will be the only announcement about GBMs, for any future announcement about GBMs please join the discord.
