MyStory
Tuesday, April 7, 2020 · 6 - 9 PM
NAMI at UMBC will be hosting our MyStory event for the 5th year now. It is a formal setting for students to speak about their experiences growing up with a mental illness, and how they've grown because of it. We ask anyone attending to dress business casual, but it's not a mandatory dress code. We will be having Sorrento's pizzas and salads for when we take a break from speakers to eat and decompress from the content being shared. We will have content warnings at the event, as there will be sensitive topics discussed in peoples' speeches. If you are interested in speaking, please reach out to us. There will also be time for an open microphone at the end of the night in case anyone feels moved enough to speak after hearing the other speakers.
