Virtual Circle for (Aspiring) Anti-Racist Allies *
Thursday, June 18th, 2020 | 10:00-11:30 a.m. | Online
Black America is angry and TIRED. Eliminating racism, while certainly a collective effort, is a project that White folx at UMBC can undertake now, and going forward. This circle will utilize restorative practices to hold space for white-identified faculty, staff, and students who have either questions or answers they wish to share. Whether you are deeply involved in anti-racist work or hoping to become more involved, this is a good opportunity to develop relationships with other like-minded people.
Call To Action: *6/11/2020 Update:We have had more than 50 sign up for the circle, which is our capacity, so we will be disabling additions to this event. We are discussing how we can create an opportunity for a second circle and/or to steer interested folks to other opportunities coming up very soon. Please add yourself to the Restorative Retrievers my.umbc group for real-time updates on opportunities to repair harm and restore relationships using restorative tools. If you share your contact information at this link, we will make sure you have priority to register for our next circle.
