Tip of the Week: How to “feature” an Event on events.umbc.edu
Have you seen other office’s event posts featured at the top of the events.umbc.edu page and wanted to learn more about how to do this in your myUMBC pages? To do this you will need to be an admin of a PUBLIC myUMBC page. Please follow the steps below.
When creating the event post or edit an existing event post, you will need to click on the purple button that reads “Promote.” You will then be forwarded to a page with a calendar of upcoming highlighted events. Select the dates that you wish to have your event spotlighted. Be mindful that up to four events can be highlighted per day between ALL myUMBC group pages. You also are only able to have up to 10 promotions at a time with 2 days in between each promotion. Click the box agreeing to the rules and hit the purple “promote” below to save your selection. Your promotions should now show up on the days selected!
