End of summer symposium at which participants present their research projects.
Opportunities to continue research toward publication in professional journals and/or presentation of results at national conferences during the following academic year.
Stipend is $5000; travel to Rochester and on-campus housing is provided with supplemental compensation for dining. Women, members of underrepresented minorities, and students from colleges that lack comparable research opportunities are encouraged to apply. Most applicants will have completed at least 4 semesters of college physics and math and will have completed their sophomore or junior year by June 2019. Graduating seniors are not eligible. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Application deadline: February 15, 2019.
