We are delighted to announce the virtual publication of the 21st edition of the UMBC Review! The Review is a peer-reviewed publication that is edited, designed, and directed entirely by UMBC undergraduates, featuring articles representing the diversity and significance of undergraduate research conducted at UMBC.
In this 21st edition, we showcase nine articles, from disciplines ranging from chemistry to political science to gender & women's studies. Uniquely, this year each paper selected for publication contributes to a collective theme of building better global communities, a strikingly fitting theme in an age of polarizing global and cultural divisions.
While prior editions of the Review dating back to 2014 are available online, this is the first entirely-virtual launch of the journal. By publishing the Review online, we hope to maintain the spirit of open access and collaborative research that has defined the Review since its beginnings. Please enjoy!
In addition, we are opening applications for a new Editor for the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences! If you are interested in joining the staff of the Review, fill out this application form and we will contact you with further steps.
