NMAAHC Internships offer undergraduate and graduate students, and recent graduates opportunities to work closely with professionals and scholars in the museum field. Some internships offer stipends, those that offer stipends will state it within the details in the available opportunities.

NMAAHC Fellowships offer opportunities for independent research or study related to Smithsonian collections, facilities, and/or research interests of the Institution and its staff.

The RFS Fellowship program provides a paid two-year appointment to one individual at the NMAAHC. The program is specialized for HBCU graduates pursuing careers in public history, museum management, outreach, and partnership building.
