My name is Celeste Shirecliffe. I spoke with the art department front desk today, and they connected me to you. I am the author of the book, Hidden Contempt, and I'm hosting a Book Cover Competition that I would like to invite the students at your school to participate in for a chance to win a $1000 prize!
I've chosen to do this competition as a way to give aspiring artists a portfolio building opportunity that will give these artists a chance to be handsomely rewarded for the valuable contribution they will bring to my book and for artists to gain exposure to their amazing talents. Being an award recipient at a competition during my days in college, I appreciates the valuable experience that comes from these kinds of competitions while students try to build a resume that they can confidently enter the job market with. Though the prize money exceeds the cost of hiring a book cover artist, I wanted to provide this exciting opportunity for artists to create, just as I was able to experience during my time in college, while I get a wide variety of talent and ideas.
The winning contestant will receive the $1,000 prize and the finalists will gain exposure through my website and social media! Please pass this information on to your students personally and/or through an email and/or in class as soon as possible to give them an opportunity to enter.
