Apply to be a Production Assistant for the Retriever

Responsibilities:

The Retriever Production Team is looking for an artist who is interested in learning about graphic design, newspaper layout, and social media and merchandise branding. This position is open to artists who are enthusiastic about creating engaging designs that help elevate student journalism and are prompt in meeting deadlines. Applicants should be prepared to design graphics for social media and online print articles, assist in layout for three special edition print issues this fall, and attend Production Team video calls throughout the semester with the Production Manager. It is preferred that applicants are familiar with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, but access to an Adobe membership is not required.  

Requirements:

You must be an undergraduate student at UMBC with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Incoming freshman are encouraged to apply.
