Students, faculty, and staff have made t-shirts describing their experience with relationship violence and sexual assault. On Thursday, April 6th these t-shirts will be hung shoulder-to-shoulder on a clothesline for public viewing, as if the survivors are there themselves, telling us their stories.

The Clothesline Project gives voice to the experiences of survivors, victims, family, and friends who have been affected by violence. All are encouraged to attend and participate.

UMBC community members impacted by sexual violence are encouraged to make a t-shirt for the display prior to April 6th. 

Supplies will be available in the Women's Center on the following dates throughout the month of April during our hours of operation. 

T-shirts made on or after April 6th will be shown at a smaller Clothesline Project display at Take Back the Night on April 13th. 

UMBC community members interested in volunteering for this event are encouraged to email the Women's Center at womens.center@umbc.edu. Setting up the project takes lots of hands so volunteers are greatly appreciated!
