The Women's Center roundtable series is a monthly event focusing on a particular issue or topic and its intersection with women + gender.
The Women in Tech roundtable was originally scheduled to take place in the spring of 2017 when our roundtable series focused on the underrepresentation and invisibility of women in various fields but was cancelled due to snow.
For this roundtable we will be exploring questions such as: What challenges do women face in STEM fields? What influences perceptions of women who study and work in technology-related fields? How can women students be supported in these fields?
Join the Women's Center and our panelists Marie desJardins (Associate Dean of College of Engineering and Information Technology), Danyelle Ireland (Associate Director of the Center for Women in Technology), and Katie Dillon (CWIT Scholar).
For questions contact the Women's Center at womenscenter@umbc.edu or call 410-455-2714.
The Women's Center is located on the ground floor of the Commons, next to the Yum Shoppe.
All events, groups, organizations, and centers are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
