This month is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and the Women's Center is having events all month long for it! In light of this, this week in WOCC we will be hosting a mini Supporting Survivors Workshop! We'll also be discussing the #MeToo and #TimesUp Movements! We will then have a craftivism session in preparation for Take Back the Night and The Monument Quilt. WOCC members will have an opportunity to create Monument Quilt squares, shirts for The Clothesline Project, and/or rally signs for Take Back The Night.
Women of Color Coalition provides a supportive space for women of color to come together for conversation, networking, and advocacy.
All self-identified women of color students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join our biweekly conversations!
This program follows the Women’s Center Brave Space model to provide a welcoming community and learning environment for women of color interested in cultivating visibility, advocacy, and engagement around the intersections of gender and race.
All events, groups, organizations, and centers are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
