We're currently recruiting:

• Writers – Craft well-researched, high-quality articles on diverse topics. Perfect if you love writing, research, or want to sharpen your ability to explain complex ideas clearly.

• Editor-in-Chief – Lead the Law Review, oversee publication, and guide the editorial team. A great opportunity to flex your leadership and editorial judgment.

• Managing Editors – Support the Editor-in-Chief, keep the publication on track, and coordinate across the team. Ideal if you're organized and collaborative.

Thinking about applying to join the first-ever UMBC Law Review Journal, but have a few questions? We got you! 

Q: How much of a time commitment is it?
A: Super flexible! Writers have full control over how many articles they want to submit. Articles will be published on our website on a rolling basis, and select pieces will be featured in our Spring composite publication.

Q: How do I get my article published in the Spring edition?
A: In the spring semester, you'll fill out a short survey indicating you'd like your piece considered for publication. The Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editors will then review submissions alongside the Pre-Law E-Board to select articles for the official Law Review Journal!

Q: Who can apply?
A: Any UMBC student interested in law, research, or writing! No prior journalism experience required—just curiosity, creativity, and commitment.

The Enoch Pratt Library has an opening for a Teen Librarian I. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape services for Teens to enhance literacy, learning, and community connections. With support from our Programs and Outreach division, you’ll have the resources to facilitate impactful system-wide initiatives while staying ahead of trends in youth literature, programming, and library services through professional development opportunities.

The Enoch Pratt Free Library has an opening for a Digital Outreach Coordinator. The Coordinator is a leadership role within the Library’s IT Department, responsible for designing, implementing, and leading AI-driven initiatives that enhance digital literacy, increase equitable access to emerging technologies, and support organizational innovation. The Coordinator also plays a key role in the review and management of grant-funded technology programs.

The Enoch Pratt Free Library has an opening for a Librarian II for our Central Library location’s Business, Science, and Technology (BST) Department.

Under the supervision of the BST Manager and in conjunction with the Deputy Chief of the State Library Resource Center (SLRC) and the Chief of the State Library Resource Center, the position assists in planning, administration, project management, public programs, and library staff training related to the Business, Science, and Technology Department. Excellent public service is a critical component of this position.

The Enoch Pratt Library has an opening for a Juvenile Materials Selector, Librarian II in the Collection Development Department. The Librarian chooses materials in all formats for the Enoch Pratt Free Library system and collaborates in the maintenance of the library’s extensive collections. The Collection Development Department comprises two sections, the Selection and Acquisitions Units. The Librarian II Materials Selector works under the supervision of the Collection Development Department Manager.

The Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore City has an opening for a Controller. The Controller will operate in various aspects of a complex accounting environment. The Controller will work in concert with the Library’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and will lead the financial and accounting functions of the Library. The Controller will exercise communication and multitasking skills, with high technical expertise.

This position works on-site during normal business hours Monday through Friday.

This position can be hybrid after 90 days of employment.
