Effective on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 5:00 AM until Monday, June 6, 2016 at 9:00 AM the bus stop on westbound Washington Boulevard at Commerce Drive, across the street from the Walmart parking lot will be closed due to road construction (weather permitting). 

A temporary bus stop will be established on westbound Washington Boulevard at Commerce Drive, near the traffic light to accommodate MTA riders during this closure. 

Passenger Stop Instructions Operators are instructed to board and alight riders at the temporary bus stop below. Routes Board Passengers No. 35, 36 and 77 Lines On Westbound Washington Boulevard.

In case of heavy rain, this closure will be postponed until further notice. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

ARTSCAPE 2016: LEAD PRODUCTION ASSISTANT – JOB DESCRIPTION

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA), producer of Artscape, is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Lead Production Assistant, to help behind the scenes before and/or during this event held July 15-17, 2016. The Lead Production Assistant will report directly to the Festival Manager, and will be responsible for duties specific to the festival grounds at large.

ARTSCAPE 2016: LEAD PRODUCTION ASSISTANT – JOB DESCRIPTION

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts (BOPA), producer of Artscape, is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking Lead Production Assistant, to help behind the scenes before and/or during this event held July 15-17, 2016. The Lead Production Assistant will report directly to the Festival Manager, and will be responsible for duties specific to the festival grounds at large.

UMBC Dining Services partnered with Just Food UMBC to offer sustainable, local, and fresh food in the True Grits dining hall in celebration of Earth Day!

We partnered up with Just Food UMBC to host a locally sourced stir fry featuring fresh veggies and chicken from:

Locust Point Farm - Elkton, MD
Gehman Family Farm - Teleford, PA
Eagle Road Produce - Quarryville, PA
Butter Valley Harvest - Bally, PA

We also have two local ice creams from Taharka Brothers made right here in Baltimore!#‎justfood #‎eatlocal #‎wherehungrymindsgather


In addition, UMBC Wellness Initiative in HR and UMBC Transit have partnered up to offer a successful weekly shuttle to the Catonsville Farmers Market!
