Tell us about your internship, co-op, or research opportunity, including your day-to-day responsibilities:
During my internship as a Business Technology Intern at Strategic MindZ LLC, I worked remotely to support both the technical and communication needs of the company. On a day-to-day basis, I assisted in creating and managing content for the company website, ensuring that information was clear, accurate, and up to date. I participated in software and database testing to help identify issues. I also developed detailed user documentation and technical guides to make internal tools and processes easier to understand. In addition, I designed company and product brochures and created PowerPoint presentations to enhance communication, marketing efforts, and website updates. Through this role, I gained hands-on experience in combining technology, documentation, and design to support business operations.
Describe the process of obtaining your position. When did you hear of the position and submit your application?
I obtained this internship through a professional connection who introduced me to the opportunity at Strategic MindZ LLC. After expressing my interest at the end of Spring 2025, I interviewed and demonstrated my skills, which ultimately led to my selection for the role.

What have you enjoyed the most about your position and organization?
What I enjoyed most about my position was being able to work at the intersection of technology and communication. I liked that I wasn't just doing one repetitive task — I was involved in website content, software and database testing, documentation, and even design work like brochures and presentations. It allowed me to see how technical systems support business goals in a real way. I also appreciated the flexibility of the remote environment and the trust I was given to contribute meaningfully to projects. It made me feel like my work actually mattered.
How do you believe you have made an impact through your work?
I believe I made an impact by helping improve organization within the company's technical and communication materials. Through testing, I helped identify issues, which supports smoother performance overall. My documentation and technical guides made processes easier to understand for users, and the brochures and presentations I designed helped strengthen how the company communicates its services. Even in a short period of time, I contributed work that the company could continue using beyond my internship.
What advice would you give to another student who is seeking an internship or similar experience?
I would say don't underestimate the power of your network, and don't feel discouraged if opportunities come in non-traditional ways. Whether it's through family, referrals, or professors, what matters most is how you show up once you're given the opportunity. Be proactive, ask questions, and volunteer to take on tasks outside your comfort zone. Even small projects can teach you a lot if you approach them seriously. Also, focus on building skills, not just collecting titles.
