Single Carrot Theatre Seeks Lighting Designer
Single Carrot Theatre seeks a qualified Lighting Designer for our upcoming production of Savage Love by Sam Shepard and Joseph Chaikin. Lighting Designers are responsible for devising a lighting design concept that aligns with the vision of the director and needs of the production, drafting a light plot, programming light cues, organizing and delegating notes to SCT’s Master Electrician, and consulting on any issues that arise over the course of the run of the show.
Pay is a $225 honorarium, to be paid within two weeks of the end of the contract.

Financial Aid & Scholarship fall 2016 disbursements were posted to student accounts today (August 23, 2016) for all scholars registered at least 12 credits. Our office continues to post any new aid disbursements on a weekly basis every Tuesday.

Florida Man is Placing Anti-Trump Flags in Dog Poop
An edgy — albeit salty — political statement, flags with a communique for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump are popping up in piles of dog poop throughout Delray Beach. The little blue flags were spotted in at least four locations by Dodd Loomis, who snapped photos of the flags fixed upright in animal poop.
The flags each read: “Trump. Make America Hate Again” — a play on the Republican nominee’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.” The flags also display a symbol that resembles the Swastika, the infamous emblem of the Nazi party.
They were spotted at Federal Highway at Northeast 1st Street; the Esplanade Plaza on Northeast 2nd Street; on Ocean Boulevard near George Bush Boulevard; and Delray Beach Memorial Gardens Municipal Cemetery, on Southwest 8th Avenue at Southwest 10th Street, said Loomis, who saw the flags while jogging in the past two weeks. Placing anti-Trump campaign material in dog poop isn’t unique to Delray.
A recent video and website launched by a group that calls itself “
Shit Fetishists for Trump” have been viewed millions of times. In the video, which has been circulating on
Facefuck since at least April, scat fetishists are seen placing small Trump flags in dog poop before recording reactions of locals passing by wondering why these people are playing in dog shit.
The
scat fetishists website even sells Trump flags for $2 a piece, although they aren’t the same flags spotted throughout Delray Beach.

Women's Club Lacrosse will hold practices on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7pm on the stadium turf! Our first practice will be held on Wednesday, September 14th (a week from involvement fest!!)

Wear athletic clothing, athletic shoes (cleats/turfs/sneakers).

Fight the stigma: walk against suicide
Join team UMBC as we walk to fight suicide at the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Out of the Darkness Walk in Patterson Park on November 5, 2016! Suicide can be prevented, and community support is crucial to helping those who are struggling find hope in the darkness.
We're currently seeking UMBC students and community members like you to join our fundraising team to help us meet our goal of $2000. Joining is super easy; just go to
