    I.      Meeting with President Shears Ashby Recap

a.     First impressions of new president?

b.     Thoughts on outcome of meeting?

    II.      Updates on Spring 2023 Conference

a.     Theme discussion (last conference was Adjunct Edge)

b.     Keynote speakers (new president?)

c.     Dean Moffitt offered to play a role (speaker?)

d.     Coffee mugs as giveaway (need to get cost) need design

e.     Still awaiting update on best date from Provost’s Office (April 1 or 15^th)

f.      Budget for this event is $2,000

    III.         AFAC Happy Hours

a.     Matthews 1600

b.     Considering last or 2^nd Fridays of month…up for discussion/vote

c.     Need a flyer designed

d.     Need to aggressively promote this through all possible channels

  IV.      Shared Governance

a.     Got the Faculty Senate’s support of our gaining a seat on the USC

b.     Need at least three of the current members to also vote in favor

c.     Based on the conversations I’ve had, confident this will happen

   V.      Guest Speaker: Debbie Michaels (campus union rep)

a.     History of union at UMBC

b.     Organizing efforts/negotiations

c.     Current Maryland legislation
