May F. Chung (Adjunct, English, Modern Languages and Linguistics; Ph.D. student in Language, Literacy and Culture) has been awarded support to present at the 2017 Southeastern Conference in Linguistics (March 8-11, College of Charleston, South Carolina). Her presentation, "'It's not that they can't produce the sound': Linguistic tips from the ESL classroom" features teaching tips on the needs of English language learners.
Monica Dale (Adjunct, Music Coordinator, Dance Department) has been awarded support to present at the Third International Conference of Dalcroze Studies (Universite Laval, Quebec City, Canada, July 30-August 3, 2017). Ms. Dale will lead two sessions, on "Structured Improvisation" and on "Piano Improvisation in Dalcroze-Influenced Modern Dance."
