Here is the link to nominate yourself, if you wish to serve on UMBC's Adjunct Faculty Advisory Committee (AFAC):
CAHSS: 2 positions
COEIT: 1 position
CNMS: 1 position
Non-College-Affiliated: 1 position
All positions are two-year terms, staggered by year. Members of the AFAC are elected by adjunct faculty in their respective Colleges.
New members will serve from fall 2018 through spring 2020.

We meet on payday Fridays. Full participation is essential.
Stipend for serving on the committee equivalent to stipend for teaching one (3-credit) course at UMBC per year
Our administrative liaison is Vice Provost Patrice McDermott.
The AFAC was chartered by UMBC President Freeman Hrabowski and Provost Philip Rous.
Nominating and running for the AFAC expresses a commitment. All AFAC members are understood to have an obligation to represent the adjunct faculty at UMBC and to be available to meet with faculty and administrators.
DEADLINES:
- We will ask for nominations to be completed within the next seven days, through (midnight) Thursday, May 3
- Elections will be conducted through the following eight days, ending (midnight) Friday, May 11
- Winning candidates will be notified and introduced as soon as possible after votes are tallied, before end of term Tuesday, May 15
