The Adjunct Faculty Advisory Committee (AFAC) is delighted to share the names of the three UMBC faculty members who have received the Adjunct Faculty Excellence Awards.
These three recipients for 2017-2018 are the first for the new award, announced by Provost Philip Rous. The award recognizes demonstrated excellence in teaching at UMBC.
The three recipients are
Dr. William F. Slowikowski, Department of Mathematics and Statistics
Dr. Xenia Wolff, Department of Modern Languages, Linguistics & Intercultural Communication
Dr. Jamie Falcon, Department of Economics
The award includes an allowance of $2,000 provided by the Office of the Provost to support professional development during the 2018-2019 academic year.
The AFAC strongly supports the provost's awards and joins in congratulations to these three highly deserving adjunct faculty members.
