The Women's March on Washington DC is January 18, 2020. Shall we rally to get faculty, staff and students to attend? I was there in 2017, and the vibe was electric. It really is a once in a life-time experience to march in solidarity in the Nation's Capitol. I'm willing to help organize car pools, but it would be even better if we could have UMBC buses take groups to one of the suburban metro stations. We might be able to pre-arrange metro cards for the day. Any ideas about getting funds for buses? Student groups could ask for funds for buses. If anyone is excited about having a UMBC group to go with or if you have ideas about funding for a bus and metro fare cards. Please contact me at akalfogl@umbc.edu
