Connect with UMBC Alums to get an inside look into their professions.
Finance Industry talks are aimed to reach finance and non-finance majors early in their academic studies with information about careers in the finance sector and how to prepare academically to succeed in those careers.
PRESENTERS:
Judith B. Ward, CFP®
'95 Economics and Finance
Senior Financial Planner and Vice President, T. Rowe Price
Judith
Ward is a senior financial planner and a vice president of T. Rowe
Price Associates, Inc. She provides guidance on personal finance and
retirement-related issues and is responsible for developing a broad
range of financial planning products and services. Additionally, she
provides T. Rowe Price perspectives to individuals, institutions, and
the media and contributes to T. Rowe Price publications. She also has
been quoted in national news organizations' columns and websites. She
has been with T. Rowe Price since 1983. Judith earned a B.A. in
economics and a certificate in finance from the University of Maryland
Baltimore County. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant and
is a Series 7, 63, and 65 registered representative.
Ryan M. Wentworth, CFP®, CRPC®, CPFA
'12 Financial Economics and Management Science
Senior Financial Advisor, Merrill Lynch
Ryan
began his career at Merrill Lynch in 2012. His financial planning
approach takes into account each client’s particular financial needs and
goals. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certificant and he
holds his Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®), and
Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designations. Ryan graduated
from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a Financial
Economics degree and a minor in Management Science and lives in downtown
Baltimore.
