Verisk 3E is currently hiring for a Chemical Data Analyst to join their team in Bethesda, MD.
Description of Role:
- Normalizing regulatory data to requirements for 3E Insight for Chemicals lists.
- Researching & expanding 3E Insight Chemical family databases
- Participation in Continuous process improvement initiatives, and documentation in compliance with ISO 9001 quality management system.
Requirements:
- MS, Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- 2+ years' experience in global chemical regulations and data management
- Experience with VBA programming for Microsoft Access
- Strong foundation in organic, inorganic, and reaction chemistry, including chemical nomenclature, structures, formulae, and families
- Strong Commitment to Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Strong professional discretion and scientific judgement required to make decisions regarding identity of chemicals, the appropriateness of chemical families, and the representation of regulatory and scientific data in different database formats
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
- MS SQL Database experience a plus
