This fall, UMBC has a brand-new fellowship opportunity with the Maryland Department of Health, The Maryland Health Fellowship.
This is a full-time fellowship (40 hours per week) and is scheduled to start in January 2020 for 1-year (12 months). It is open to all soon-to-be graduating students (Dec 2019), recent graduates, graduate students, and alumni (international students are welcome to apply as well).
Applicants with a wide array of academic degrees and majors, along with varying backgrounds and life experiences will be considered. The Fellow will work directly with the Maryland Secretary for Health and other senior State health leaders. Fellows will also receive competitive pay and benefits consistent with that of State employees.
Key characteristics of a successful applicant will be exceptional academic performance in their chosen field, outstanding leadership, team building and communication skills, and evidence of remarkable personal engagement in public affairs.
