It’s the end. I have been standing here for a long time, staring at these vacant lots around Southwest Baltimore from February 2025 to Spring 2026. Along this journey, I met Dan, who manages the Mt. Clare Community Garden. I spent close to a year getting to know him and his wife Katherine, sharing meals and gardening together. In this performance-lecture, I will walk through my process of observing, relating and making art from the vacant lots and with the people who steward them. Please come join me in witnessing the end together.
