What are Conversation Circles?
Students can choose one of two time blocks to meet with their circle: 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM or 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
They are groups of ELI students matched with one fluent English speaking volunteer. The volunteer may be a UMBC student or ELI faculty or staff. The volunteer has agreed to meet with 4 to 5 ELI students once a week for casual, free conversation in the UC student lounge.

How to apply
Applying is easy! Just follow this link and complete the short application form. Within two weeks you will receive an email to your UMBC email account about your circle's meeting time and place.
IMPORTANT: Applications for the Conversation Circle program will be closed after June 8.
