Please remember that UMBC has a Smoke-Free campus policy. UMBC is not the only campus to have this new policy. In fact, 800 campuses in the US are now smoke-free.
The campus offers many options for students who want to quit smoking: University Health Services offers free visits with a medical provider who will provide support and discuss various options for quitting. You can find more information on the UHS website or can call 410-455-2542 to make an appointment.
Students who choose not to quit can go to one of two locations on campus to smoke:
LOCATION #1
Next to the Police StationLOCATION #2
Behind the Physics Building, next to Parking Lot #2 on Park Road.
Please be aware that students who smoke anywhere outside of these two locations could get a fine. This fine will prevent students from registering for classes until it is paid.
Please make sure to follow the new rules and support our goal of creating a healthier environment for everyone.
