Dear ELI Students,

The semester has gone by very quickly and we hope your classes are going well.  We have a few reminders that you need to think about before classes end. Please take note of the following dates:

• The last day of ELI classes is Tuesday, December 8.  Please plan to attend classes on December 8.  If you will travel during the winter break, book your ticket for December 9 or later.  You should not ask your instructors for permission to leave early or take exams early. 
• Spring semester classes start on Monday, January 25. 
• If you will travel during the winter break, please see Sarita or Vanessa for a travel signature on page 2 of your I-20. 
• Check the end date of your I-20!  If it expires in December, you need to request an extension if you plan to continue at the ELI in the spring semester.  Please see Sarita or Vanessa to discuss your situation.    

Many of you need to pay for Session 2 health insurance. Your bill can be accessed on your student account. Many of you also have health holds and you need to visit the University Health Center (UHS). Please see Marilyn at the ELI if you have questions about health services.

This week is Thanksgiving break. UMBC will be closed on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27.  We wish you a happy holiday.  Please remember If you have any questions or need assistance, visit the ELI front desk.
