Last year, GAs told us through the annual GAAC survey that many of us are looking to strengthen our teaching skills and experience in preparation for jobs as professors.
The Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) at UMBC is hosting a TA orientation and teaching workshop tomorrow, August 23rd, from 8:30am to 1pm, that is open to all graduate students interested in teaching.
Topics to be covered include Conflict Resolution and how to teach "Disciplinary Thinking". Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
