I hope this message finds you well.
GAAC reaches out to research assistants conducting field research whose work has been impacted by the current pandemic situation. Please let us know if you have any feedback, comments, or suggestions for how you feel the University can better assist you. One result of the major effect on UMBC, especially for the various science disciplines is that research has been halted. However, they plan on reopening the research facilities and studios as soon as possible.
For this, the University needs your input and your suggestions.
Necessities like PPE, handwash, gloves, sanitizers are being arranged. All necessary protocols for sanitation have been followed, and will be continued be practiced upon reopening the facilities.
Please feel free to let us know how you are affected and how UMBC can help you. Your advisors should also reach out to you.
