Serving international students with friendship, cultural exchange, and spiritual support.
ISC is a club made up of both American students and international students who want to serve and befriend the international student community at UMBC. We provide opportunities to learn about each other’s culture, connect with the local community, and develop lasting friendships so that you feel welcome at UMBC.
First, we offer fun! There are a mix of on campus and off campus activities (when restrictions are lifted) such as game room nights, food making, hiking, apple picking, visiting local landmarks, celebrating holidays, and even having a meal in an American home.
Second, we have volunteers who are willing to pick up or drop off students to the airport, help with local shopping, and provide occasional rides so students can obtain needed documents. We are eager to be a blessing and help you adjust to life in Maryland.
Finally, we offer interested students the chance to visit nearby churches, learn about Christianity, and what it means to be a follower of Jesus.
