Home-cooked dinner and discussion
Wednesday, September 11, 2019 · 6:30 - 8 PM
This month we're going to be exploring the theme of "Sanctuary"- what it means to welcome and make space for those who need it. We'll be looking at the Biblical roots of offering sanctuary and learning how our Church lives this out for the sake of immigrants, refugees, and other minority communities. And we'll learn some ways that we can be a part of this life-giving work.
Come late or leave early if you need to- we understand that classes and work sometimes get in the way.
All people are invited.
This week: We'll be looking at the Biblical passages often used to justify discrimination against the LGBTQ community and talk about the ways that our churches understand those passages differently. And we'll talk about verse that encourage us to welcome and celebrate the gifts of the LGBTQ community.
All people are invited.
