IEEE Arduino Workshops this Friday!
The IEEE, UMBC Student Branch is hosting its semesterly Arduino Workshops! Come learn how to build circuits and control them with Arduinos in a hands-on environment. Arduinos are microcontrollers, which means you can program them to directly control hardware components and read sensor data. They have applications ranging from hobbyist projects to capstone and research projects.
For these workshops, no programming or circuits knowledge is required! We'll teach you everything from the ground up. Already know Arduino? We'll have challenges for experienced students to test their skills. We hope to see you this Friday and Saturday in ITE 233!
NOTE: Laptops are required for this event!!
Arduino Level 1 Workshops:
A basic introduction to Arduino, circuits, and programming. Attendees will learn how to build circuits on breadboards, and how to write programs in a C-like language. Note that the Friday and Saturday workshops are identical.
- Friday 2/28: 5pm to 7pm in ITE 233
- Saturday 2/29: 2:30pm to 4:30pm in ITE 233
Arduino Level 2 Workshops:
A more advanced introduction to Arduino. Attendees will get a comprehensive introduction to advanced functions, controlling advanced hardware components, clock signals, and communication between devices. Level 1 attendance is not required, but is recommended. Note that the Friday and Saturday workshops are identical.

- Saturday 3/7: 10am to 12pm in ITE 233
