Are you curious about opportunities in volunteering abroad?  How about learning more about what it means to be a global citizen?  Interested in joining the Peace Corps?  Just want to learn more about the Peace Corps mission of providing technical assistance, helping people outside the United States to understand American culture, and helping Americans to understand the cultures of other countries?

Welcome to the Peace Corps Prep program at UMBC!

Beginning in Spring 2014, The Shriver Peaceworker Fellows Program, the Shriver Center and the Global Studies Program will launch Peace
Corps Prep, a pathway for UMBC undergraduates to prepare for Peace Corps Service and other international service opportunities. The program is open to students of ALL MAJORS and will entail service learning, culture classes, foreign language, opportunities to connect with other students in the program and mentorship through the Peace Corps application process from Returned Peace Corps Volunteers here on campus.
