Opening for an AmeriCorps Economic Empowerment VISTA
A full-time year of service with a MD non-profit.
AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is looking for someone to fill a VISTA position at the International Rescue Committee in Montgomery County from November 2014 to November 2015. The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world's worst humanitarian crises and helps people to survive and rebuild their lives.
The IRC Economic Empowerment VISTA position will:
create, implement, and evaluate exit interview and resource materials
monitor and evaluate Job Readiness Trainings (JRT)
establish strategic partnerships with businesses and community organizations
increase capacity and services of career development program

Preferred candidates need to have a college degree or equivalent work experience, leadership potential, and the motivation to serve.
