During the summer of 2017, Sondheim Scholar Evan Avila interned with the US Census Bureau through the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) Internship Program (include hyperlink). “I’ve met people who go to Ivy League schools, and I can say, unequivocally, that the education I have received at UMBC has been world-class, and been on par with the other people I have worked with at the Census Bureau.”
