Greetings Social Work Majors,
The board members of the Social Work Student Association (SWSA) would like to welcome all returning students and send a warm welcome to new UMBC and Social Work students! We are excited to be your board and we hope to catch you at some upcoming meetings.
For all that have missed the first meeting of the semester, don’t worry there's more to come. Meetings for SWSA will be held on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month. So the next meetings will take place on Oct 1st and 2nd @ 12pm-1p in the large conference room. The large conference is located next to the social work student lab in Sherman Hall Room 322. This year we hope to have some great speakers to come in for grad school talks, training, and some really great volunteer opportunities. We would also like to hear from you all with ideas, thoughts, feelings, or concerns. Our volunteer opportunities may or may not take place on campus.
Being a Member: Everyone who wants to be considered a member but it is important to note that if you plan on running for a position on the SWSA board the next school year “2020-2021” You must attend at least 2 meetings and 1 volunteer opportunity.
We Look forward to working with you all and see you soon!!!
Sincerely,
Your SWSA Board
