UMBC TheatreCOM presents: Steel Magnolias
This bittersweet comedy follows the lives of three generations of strong Southern women over the course of one year in Truvy’s beauty salon, where they gather regularly to laugh, cry and celebrate the events of their lives. Based on the playwright’s experiences - and adapted into an Oscar-winning movie starring Dolly Parton and Julia Roberts - Steel Magnolias stands as a testament to the women’s saga of strength and tolerance in face of adversity.
Shows are February 16th and February 17th at 8PM, and February 18th at 2PM in the Recital Hall on the second floor of the Fine Arts Building. Please see post below for a map of the campus. Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.umbc.edu - FREE for UMBC students or $5 general admission. Attendees with student tickets must present their red ID at the door.
