New Playwrights Festival is a student-written, student-produced celebration of short theater pieces. This year, we have two pieces: "Lemonade: A Visual Feast" and "Mr. Hawthorne's Funeral".
Tickets are free to the public. Doors open at 7:40 p.m. on Saturday and 1:40 p.m. on Sunday.
"Lemonade: A Visual Feast"
A romantic comedy about love, costumes, and Beyonce. When the group chat gets confusing and two groups of people show up in different costumes, the only thing that would bring them together are dance sequences to Beyonce. After all - what better way to celebrate life than through the music of the Queen?

"Mr. Hawthorne's Funeral"
A dark comedy following the reunion of a family after the father’s unexpected death. Filled with larger-than-life characters, this show puts its protagonist to the ultimate test: getting through the strangest family reunion of all time.
