If so, please join us for this year's 2018 faculty and staff
Professional Development Day. We are delighted to be learning from a true
master of communication. You may be familiar with Jan Fox from her time
as a Emmy award winning news anchor on WUSA 9 in Washington, D.C. She now takes her speaking chops into organizations where she helps professionals increase their their bold speaking and communication in addition to coaching aspiring TEDx speakers to bring their message to a global stage.
In this morning experiential workshop, Keys to Bold Speaking and Communication, you will learn quick communication cures and subtle tweaks to enhance your influence regardless of your role.
Specifically you will learn:
- 4 new mind-shifts that cure the gamut of low grade to full-out speaking fears
- Effective vocal techniques and physical practices to improve your presence and impact
- Innovative ways to put the POWER back in your PowerPoint presentation

9-9:30 a.m. - Registration and breakfast
9:30-12:00 p.m. - Workshop
For participants who also sign up to the afternoon UMBC Retriever Talks session, you will be provided with a lunch coupon to True Grits.
