About This Group
Welcome to UMBC's Model UN club!
Model UN is an intellectual sport that simulates the real United Nations. We attend conferences twice a semester, to represent UMBC as delegations of a member state of the UN, whether it be in special committees like Security Council or General Assemblies.
This coming school year, we also plan on having more community outreach events to get the public involved in global issues. We are hosting our first ever GRITMUN conference, a one-day long conference for high school students in the area. We are hoping to spread the love of international diplomacy as well as promote the social sciences at UMBC.
