Under the direction of Dr. Lyn
Dahlquist, Ph.D., the Pediatric Psychology Lab at UMBC conducts numerous research projects focusing on acute pain management, pain management interventions, and the role of
parents in children’s distress during stressful medical procedures. Currently we are assessing the influence of psychological interventions on pain responses among college students.
The lab's team includes several graduate students and undergraduate research assistants, whom are all trained to comply with strict ethical guidelines on conducting psychological research.
All events, groups, organizations, and centers are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
