Important Changes to the Format of the Justification Memo
Historically, hiring departments included demographic information (race and gender) of the interviewed applicants in the body of the justification memo. Prior to PageUp implementation, this was the only method of reporting this EEO data to Human Resources.
Now that PageUp confidentially gathers all necessary EEO demographic data on applicants, it is no longer required that this information be included in the justification memo. We ask that you Do Not include the information in the memo as the data may not match the self -reported data supplied by the applicant.
Please pass this information to any hiring managers in your department.
The sample justification memos have been updated on the Human Resources website for your reference.
