I appreciate that there is a Wisdom Institute for UMBC retirees, and I have not been to any of the lunches yet. Going to lunch, attending humanities lectures etc. is fine and dandy, but it is not likely to generate much enthusiasm imo.
I have a few additional suggestions;
- Join in the first Friday meditation hikes organized by the UMBC HR Wellness Initiative and have a meal afterwards
- Go to a local brewery or winery such as Heavy Seas Brewing or Boordy Vineyards
- Go to a Catonsville restaurant on Frederick Rd., there are many excellent ones such as G.L. Shacks, Atwater Deli, Black Kettle, Dimitri's Grille, Catonsville Gourmet and others.
- Have an open house and potluck at one of our homes.
Thanks for reading my post.
