UMBC’s Wisdom Institute and the McNair Scholars Program are excited to partner and are seeking your support as we pair members of the Wisdom Institute (Wisdom Mentors) with rising graduating UMBC seniors in the McNair Scholars Program. Wisdom Mentors will meet virtually with their mentee at least once a month for the duration of this academic year. It is a hope that you will be able to provide them with encouragement and wisdom for life after UMBC as they head to graduate school.
The UMBC McNair Scholars Program's objective is to increase underrepresented minorities, first-generation, and low-income students’ enrollment in doctoral studies programs and ultimately PhD attainment. For more information about the program, visit our website at https://mcnair.umbc.edu/
