Below is information we received from Ken Fitch from We Matter regarding Class Action participation for the prescription drug plan:
Volunteers are now entering the names and addresses of everyone who filled out a class action participation form onto a spreadsheet. The Spreadsheet will accompany the forms attached to the Motion to Request Class Action Certification. So far approximately 250 forms have been input onto a spreadsheet out of the 1300 that have been counted so far. Retirees have not given us complete address, i.e., no city or zip code, so we stop to contact the participant or look it up. This slows things down.
The attorney is preparing a Motion to Seal the information on the spreadsheet and forms, so the information can only be seen by the Court and the Attorney General to maintain the privacy of everyone who has participated. Once the first 500 are listed, the attorney says the Motion will be filed. Any additional forms will be filed as supplement to the Motion. The attorney wants a minimum of 5,000 forms. I would like to see more than that.
